Salman Iqbal Reveals ARY Plus Plans to Become Biggest Urdu Streaming Platform

ARY Network CEO Salman Iqbal has shared his plans to develop ARY Plus into a major streaming platform designed to bring Urdu-language entertainment to audiences in one place.

Salman Iqbal address the future of ARY Plus and highlight his vision which is goes beyond offering only content produced by ARY Network. He wants to form an Urdu-language streaming podium where audiences can access Pakistani dramas, entertainment shows and other television content from all over the country.

As per CEO Salman’s idea, the platform could open its doors to content from major TV networks across Pakistan, including HUM, Geo and Green. He said he would welcome their participation, which could allow viewers to watch programs from different broadcasters through a single streaming platform.

The CEO’s vision is to make ARY Plus one of the biggest, or potentially the biggest, Urdu OTT platforms. By bringing content from multiple networks together, the app could become a centralized destination for Urdu-language television and entertainment.

Iqbal also clear up that ARY Plus will stay free for spectators. Iqbal shared these ideas after ARY Digital announced that Pakistani watchers would now watch its dramas completely through ARY Plus instead of YouTube. From September 17, viewers have been directed to ARY Plus to watch new episodes.

Addressing questions about the platform’s revenue model, Iqbal said making money is not his only focus. He explained that he wants to build something “larger than life” and believes revenue will follow once the platform reaches that scale.

With its focus on Urdu-language audiences and plans to expand beyond ARY’s own content, ARY Plus is being positioned as a broader digital entertainment platform for Pakistani viewers.
