Farooq Sattar Calls for New Administrative Units, Criticizes Treatment of Muhajirs

MQM-P leader Dr. Farooq Sattar has said that the generations of those who played a role in the creation of Pakistan are being pushed to the wall. Speaking about the country’s administrative structure, he claimed that there is growing recognition across Pakistan of the need to establish new administrative units.

Sattar said, “Now the whole country is crying out for administrative units to be created,” arguing that the existing provincial structures are too large to effectively manage administrative affairs. He maintained that the demand for new administrative units should be viewed in the context of improving governance and ensuring more effective administration.

Referring to what he described as delayed action on the issue, Sattar used a metaphorical expression, saying, “When the fear of death finally sets in, they say, just give us a fever.” He reiterated that provinces of such a large size cannot adequately manage the country’s administrative system and called for reforms aimed at bringing governance closer to the people.
