Iran Says It Shot Down Another US MQ-1 Drone Over Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN: Iran says its forces have shot down another US MQ-1 drone over the Strait of Hormuz amid continuing military tensions between Tehran and Washington.

According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force targeted the US drone near the strategic waterway.

Iranian officials said the drone was intercepted and destroyed using an advanced air-defence system.

The Iranian statement identified the aircraft as a US drone and said the incident occurred over the Strait of Hormuz.
