Iran Vows to Defend Territory, National Interests Amid US-Israel Tensions

Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters have pledged to defend the country’s national interests, people’s rights and territorial integrity, warning that the United States, Israel and their allies will face further defeats.

In a statement marking Sacred Defense Week, the Iranian military leadership said the September 22 commemoration of the 1980–1988 Iran-Iraq war represents a major chapter in the history of the Islamic Revolution. It said the Iranian people had resisted military aggression and political, security and economic pressure through faith and national unity, while maintaining that Iran had not surrendered “even a single inch” of its territory.

The statement also claimed that Iran’s armed forces had inflicted significant damage on US and Israeli military and security infrastructure and strategic interests in West Asia, affecting regional security calculations. It said Iran would continue relying on its national capabilities to confront economic, cognitive and media warfare, while emphasizing that the armed forces would not retreat from defending Iran’s national interests, territorial integrity and the rights of its people.
