Mehwish Hayat Returns to Television With New Drama ‘Rutba’

Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat is set to return to television with her mega project drama ‘Rutba’and shared a sight of her fascinating role, Shehnaz.

Mehwish shared a teaser on her Instagram which shows her drama character Shehnaz marking her much-anticipated return to television. She unvield the first look through the post along with an emotional captioned which portrayed her character and her experience of returning to the small screen.

She wrote, “And so, Rutba begins… Meet Shehnaz.”

Mehwish added, “A character who challenged me, surprised me and became incredibly special to me. It feels so good to return to your television screens with a story as meaningful as Rutba.”

The actress decide not to disclose details about the drama story but assured an appealing experience for spectators.

She wrote, “I won’t reveal too much, but this one will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat.”

Mehwish said she was excited to work along with the drama’s star-studded cast and greatly admired creative team.

She shared, “It was incredible working with Zahid, Talha and Hiba, reuniting with Haseeb Hasan after so long and bringing Umera Ahmed’s powerful writing to life.”

She also highlighted producer Sana Shahnawaz’s efforts while praising the team for their dedication and efforts.

She concluded and wrote, “The entire team has poured its heart and soul into this. Coming back with Rutba feels like coming home.”
