Israeli Forces Abduct Two Palestinians, Including Child, in West Bank Raids

Israeli forces have abducted two Palestinians, including a child, during raids in several parts of the occupied West Bank, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. In Tuqu, south of Bethlehem, Israeli forces searched homes and fired live ammunition before abducting the child and a young man.

Wafa reported that raids also took place in al-Ram and al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya in the central West Bank, while tear gas was fired near residential areas and civilian vehicles at the Jaba checkpoint. In the northern West Bank, forces raided areas west of Jenin, including Nazlat Sheikh Zaid, Raba and Turah, searching homes and closing roads and businesses. Palestinian media also reported settler attacks on vehicles and homes in areas northeast and northwest of Ramallah and south of Nablus.

The latest incidents come amid continued violence in the occupied Palestinian territories and ongoing tensions surrounding Gaza despite the ceasefire reported to have been agreed in October 2025. Gaza’s Health Ministry, according to the figures cited in the report, says at least 73,914 Palestinians have been killed and 174,958 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
