Iran Warns of New Military Technology in Response to Any Aggression

TEHRAN: Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi has warned that Iran would respond to any aggression by using new military technologies.

Speaking to Iranian state media, Shekarchi said Iran’s armed forces were in a stronger position than in the past and had improved their defensive capabilities.

According to Al Jazeera, Shekarchi said Iran had focused on asymmetric warfare strategies and domestically developed defence technologies to strengthen its military capabilities.

Iran Claims Improved Missile and Drone Capabilities

Shekarchi said Iranian missiles and drones had become more advanced and powerful compared with the past.

He also said Iran had prepared what he described as several “surprises” in case of a potential enemy attack.

The Iranian military spokesman did not provide details about the specific weapons or technologies involved.

Focus on Asymmetric Warfare

Shekarchi said Iran’s asymmetric warfare strategy was designed to counter heavier and more expensive weapons with relatively lower-cost but effective and practical defence systems.

He said this approach had helped Iran strengthen its overall defensive capabilities.

The Iranian official’s remarks come amid continued tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel, with the possibility of further military confrontation remaining a concern in the region.

However, Shekarchi did not identify any specific new weapon system or military technology that Iran could deploy in response to a future attack.
