Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets US-Afghan War Commission Delegation

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir met a delegation of the US-Afghan War Commission, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The delegation was led by Shamila N. Chaudhary and Dr. Colin F. Jackson. The US-Afghan War Commission is reviewing the United States’ 20-year involvement in Afghanistan, ISPR said.

The meeting covered matters of mutual interest, US support for Pakistan and the regional security situation. The two sides also discussed developments in Afghanistan and issues related to the commission’s work, according to ISPR.
