US Senator Sanders Demands End to Military Aid for Israel

US Senator Bernie Sanders has called on the Trump administration to stop providing military aid to Israel.

In a post on X, Sanders said Americans and lawmakers were calling for an end to US military assistance to Israel. He pointed to a recent Senate vote as evidence of growing support for greater scrutiny of US aid.

Sanders said that in January 2024, only 11 senators supported his effort to seek information on possible human rights violations in Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. He said the latest Senate vote received support from 47 senators.

Sanders urged the US government to listen to the American public and said military aid to Israel should not continue.

Sanders has previously called for ending US military funding for Israel and has opposed additional military aid for its government.
