Girls’ Mobile Phones Stolen at Karachi Farmhouse After Alleged Job Offer

KARACHI: Several girls allegedly had their mobile phones stolen at a farmhouse in Gadap Town after being invited under the pretext of a job opportunity and a corporate event. According to one of the affected girls, they were told they would receive food and Rs2,000, while training would also be provided for setting up a stall. They were further informed that a boss would hold a meeting and conduct interviews at the event.

The girl said the participants were asked to hand over their mobile phones, which were collected and tagged with receipts. They later discovered in the evening that the phones had allegedly been stolen. According to the complainant, a farmhouse manager named Salman fled on a motorcycle with another man while carrying a bag containing the mobile phones.

Police have recorded the statement of the farmhouse manager as part of the investigation. The farmhouse administration said it had also been informed that a corporate event was being organized, with girls expected to attend and a boss scheduled to deliver a speech before the event concluded in the evening. The administration further said it had not been paid for hosting the event and confirmed that a man named Salman allegedly fled with the mobile phones.
