Mir Raza Case: Judicial Commission to Visit Crime Scene Before Recording DSP Siraj Lashari’s Statement

The Judicial Commission investigating the Mir Raza case has decided to visit the crime scene before recording the statement of the investigating officer.

The commission directed the focal person of the Sindh government to make the necessary arrangements for the visit.

Investigating officer DSP Siraj Lashari and members of Mir Raza’s family have also been directed to reach the crime scene for the commission’s inspection.

According to the commission, the decision to inspect the site was taken on the suggestion of senior journalist Shahid Hussain.

The commission said the site inspection would be important in helping it formulate recommendations in its final report.

The commission will record the statements of DSP Siraj Lashari and CPLC representative Kashif on October 7.

Meanwhile, the commission has sought a briefing from investigative journalists Babar Saleem and Sualat Jafri on October 6 regarding suspicious vehicles linked to the case.

The commission said investigative journalists had done significant work on the issue of the suspicious vehicles, while the police had carried out limited work on this aspect of the investigation.
