Iran Warns of Preemptive Military Action Against Future Aggression

TEHRAN: Iran has warned that its armed forces are prepared to conduct preemptive operations if necessary to prevent further attacks or incursions, signalling a possible shift towards a more proactive military posture.
Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia said the armed forces would respond to any new aggression with a faster and more forceful response.
He said Iranian forces had the capability to take preemptive action to protect the country’s borders and prevent potential attacks.
Akrami-Nia also said Iran’s military was prepared for a prolonged conflict and had strengthened its reserves and defensive capabilities.
According to the Iranian military spokesperson, production of missiles and drones is continuing, while Iran is also developing components for fighter aircraft and helicopters domestically.
He further said the country was continuing work on naval vessels and air-defence systems.
The comments come amid heightened tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel, with Tehran repeatedly warning that any renewed attack would trigger a response.
Iranian officials have increasingly emphasised the need to strengthen the country’s ability to respond quickly to any future military threat.
