SIFC Efforts Boost Investment in Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is continuing its efforts to promote investment in Pakistan’s Special Economic Zones.

As a result of these efforts and follow-up measures, progress has accelerated on pending applications in Punjab’s Special Economic Zones.

In September, 34 business applications were approved in the Special Economic Zones, paving the way for investment worth more than Rs76 billion.

These investments are expected to create more than 7,000 potential job opportunities in sectors including textiles, chemicals, agricultural processing and other industries.

The promotion of investment and industrial activities in Special Economic Zones is expected to further strengthen economic activity in the country.
