Faisal Vawda Warns Against Anti-National Mindset, Criticises KP’s 13-Year Governance

13 October, 2026 15:49

Senator Faisal Vawda has warned against what he described as an anti-national mindset, alleging that some people refuse to raise Pakistan’s flag or sing the national anthem. He said such attitudes would not be tolerated and stressed that the country did not belong to any individual or political leader. Vawda also criticised those who raise political slogans and follow leaders without questioning their actions.

Vawda questioned the allocation of resources, saying funds were not being provided for martyrs while people displayed flags on their vehicles. He praised the armed forces for their sacrifices, efforts to prevent economic default and role in attracting investment. Criticising the provincial government’s performance over the past 13 years, he alleged that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had suffered extensive damage and welcomed the province’s new administrative setup. He also questioned why Afghan nationals had been allowed to remain in the province.

The senator said the public wanted an end to terrorism and progress rather than political confrontations. He alleged that eight members of the PTI cabinet had been present with him in Islamabad and claimed that some individuals had voluntarily come forward to face arrest. Vawda further alleged that financial disputes and disagreements over smuggled vehicles were behind internal conflicts among the individuals concerned.

Senator Faisal Vawda has strongly criticised what he described as an anti-national mindset, warning those who oppose Pakistan’s national flag and anthem. He said the country did not belong to any individual or political leader and argued that people should not blindly follow political personalities. Vawda also issued strong warnings against those who speak against martyrs, saying such individuals would face a response. He added that his disclosures were only the first part, with further revelations to follow, and predicted that results would begin to emerge within 60 days.

Criticising the governance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 13 years, Vawda alleged that the province had suffered extensive damage and said a new administrative setup had now been introduced. Addressing Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, he said failure was no longer an option. Vawda questioned why funds were allegedly unavailable for martyrs while political flags were displayed on vehicles, and praised the armed forces for their sacrifices, efforts to prevent economic default and role in attracting investment. He also questioned why Afghan nationals had been allowed to remain in the province, adding that the public primarily wanted an end to terrorism and progress.

Vawda alleged that eight members of the PTI cabinet had been with him in Islamabad on the 27th and claimed that disputes over money and smuggled vehicles were behind conflicts among certain individuals. He rejected claims that Sohail Afridi had been deceived into visiting the Chief Minister’s House and arrested, while alleging that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had also been deceived, expressing support for him. Vawda described President Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman as senior figures with whom he maintained personal relations. Addressing PTI supporters, he declared that the party’s political chapter was over, saying, “Party finished, show finished.”
