Faysal Quraishi Speaks Out on Restrictions on Pakistani Dramas in India

Faysal Quraishi a Pakistani actor considers that the increasing fame of Pakistani dramas in India shown Pakistan in a positive light which worried the Indian government.

While discussing the issue, Faysal said Pakistani dramas helped Indian audiences realise that Pakistan is home to ordinary, educated and civilised people. According to the actor, this growing awareness was one of the reasons behind efforts to limit the reach of Pakistani television content in India.

Faysal also claimed that the restrictions did not stop Indian viewers from watching Pakistani dramas. Instead, many continued to follow their favourite shows by using virtual private networks (VPNs) to access the content.

He advised that the constant attention of Indian audiences ultimately enforced the government to review its place on Pakistani dramas.
