Three Suspected Militants Killed in CTD-Police Operation in Swat

Three suspected militants were killed during a joint operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in the Sakha Doob area of Swat, according to the CTD.

The operation was carried out on the basis of credible intelligence against militants affiliated with the Mufti Muzaffar alias Khalid group. The CTD identified the deceased as Abdullah, Mansoor Ali and Ghufranullah, all residents of Swat. According to officials, they were allegedly involved in multiple terrorist incidents and targeted killings reported this year and were wanted by police.

Security personnel recovered three Kalashnikov rifles, six magazines, a large quantity of ammunition and a map of Shakardara Police Station during the operation. The CTD said such actions under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision reflect efforts to protect local communities, strengthen the writ of the state and maintain peace in the region.
