WhatsApp Introduces New Feature to Share Sound Stickers

WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature that will allow users to create and share stickers with sound, along with images and videos.

According to reports, the feature has been spotted in a new beta version of WhatsApp. It will allow users to add audio to stickers by selecting an audio file saved on their phone or recording their own voice.

Each sound sticker will support audio of up to 10 seconds. When a user sends the sticker in a chat, a volume icon will appear, allowing the receiver to play the sound.

The app may also automatically include five seconds of audio from a video when users create an animated sticker from it. However, users will be able to replace that audio with their own voice or another audio file.

The new feature will give WhatsApp users more ways to create and share personalised stickers with sound.
