Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his government’s resolve to extend all out cooperation to overseas Pakistanis in every possible way.

In a social media post, he owned every Pakistani residing in any corner of the world as responsibility of the government.

According to official data, government ensured repatriation of around 250,000 stranded Pakistanis from around 70 countries after they stuck up there following the suspension of the flights operations following the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

About Covid-19 situation, the Prime Minister said smart lockdown policy across the country produced positive results.

The PM cited number of infections and deaths have decreased significantly due to aforesaid measures.

He also acknowledged the role of doctors and paramedical staff for their unprecedented services during the crisis of coronavirus.

The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction on the efforts of government to increase green cover in the country through plantation campaign.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries from Covid-19 continues to increase across the country with 205,929 patients so far recovered from the disease.

According to the latest statistics, 1587 new coronavirus cases were reported in the country during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 265,083.
