Pakistan Navy inducts PNS Tabuk built in Romania during the commissioning ceremony.

According to the Spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, the commissioning ceremony of PNS Tabuk held in Romania.

The ship is equipped with modern weapons and technology. Moreover, it also has the ship has the capability to perform several naval operations and can carry helicopters and drones.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson said another ship of this type, Yarmook, has already been inducted into Pakistan Navy.

The Spokesperson said induction of PNS Tabuk into the fleet of Pakistan Navy will enhance the Pakistan Navy’s capabilities to defend maritime affairs.

On the other hand, Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi visited installations of Pakistan Navy at the coastal areas.

He reviewed the operational preparedness and activities of the naval force at Turbat, Gwadar and Ormara.

Officials concerned briefed him on Gwadar Port and the coastal security of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Naval Chief said maritime security has pivotal role with regards to the development of the CPEC.

The Pakistan Navy chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi had earlier visited Cracks area.

Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi also addressed the personnel during the visit.

He said defending the maritime boundaries is the prime responsibility of Pakistan Navy, while the Navy remains ever ready for it.

He said full utilization of weapons is also important along with the valour to defend maritime boundaries of the country.

The Naval Chief visited forward positions along the south-eastern boundary. There he met the officers and Jawans deployed there.

Relevant officers briefed him on the dangers in the Cracks area and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy.
