Recognition of Israel not under consideration, says Pakistan government.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said this, while addressing weekly news briefing in Islamabad today.

He reiterated that there is no change in Pakistan’s principled position on the issue.

The FO spokesman cited the Prime Minister has made it clear that unless a just settlement of the Palestine issue, satisfactory to the Palestinian people, is found, Pakistan cannot recognize Israel.

Meanwhile, he referred to the dossier Pakistan has recently presented on India’s sponsorship of terrorism.

Chaudhri called upon the UN counter-terrorism bodies to proceed on the basis of evidence which Pakistan has provided to them.

Moreover, he asked them to urge India to renounce use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy.

He said the world bodies should also urge India to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism it has established to inflict terrorism on Pakistan.

The spokesperson further asked world community to urge India to stop the use of other countries’ soil for its terrorist activities directed against Pakistan.

On the other hand, a vast majority of Pakistanis rejected the pro-Israel narrative.

Recently, social media trending shows huge support to anti-normalization narrative.

Notably, pro-Palestine parties have held mammoth rallies to protest against UAE, Bahrain after they recognized Israel.
