The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Kanigam area of the district.
Meanwhile, two Indian soldiers lost lives, while another fell seriously injured.
The barrack they were putting up collapsed at Machedi in Kathua district leaving two dead.
Meanwhile, President, National Conference and head of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), Farooq Abdullah on Friday asked the authorities to release all those detained recently .
He said if they want democracy to survive in territory, they must released them.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Farooq Abdullah said this, while speaking to reporters.
Earlier, he chaired the first meeting of PAGD leaders following District Development Council (DDC) polls at his Gupkar residence in Srinagar.
He also demanded immediate restoration of 4-G internet services.
Asked whether PAGD would stay or break now that DDC polls are over, he said: “We are here to stay and nobody should have any doubt about it.”
Meanwhile, AGD leader and Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone also spoke.
He expressed gratitude to those who voted in the recently concluded DDC polls.
Furthermore, he also thanked those who did not vote for alliance candidates.
However, Lone said the authorities were acting in a partisan manner.
He further accused them of confining people either to houses or in Police Stations.
Lone urged them to desist from this and not humiliate the great verdict of DDC polls.
He warned that history remains witness that who tried to humiliate the people’s verdict ended up in a disaster.
Moreover, he called for not tinkering democracy under any circumstances.
