The meeting of NCC for Housing, Construction and Development held in Islamabad on Thursday.
The PM called for taking measures on emergency basis to end fraud with the people, especially exploitation of overseas Pakistanis, in illegal housing projects and constructions.
Furthermore, he said a common man is deprived of his life-long earnings through these illegal housing schemes, which needs to be stopped immediately.
The Prime Minister said protection of citizens’ interest, especially the poor, in construction activities is top priority of the government.
Meanwhile, government also made pledge to make every possible effort for the protection and welfare of the media workers.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz expressed this government’s commitment.
He said, while addressing a new conference in Islamabad on Thursday.
Shibli further said that the bill for the protection of journalists remains under process in parliament.
Moreover, another private member bill proposed for the wellbeing of media workers.
However, he lamented the Senate due to non-cooperation of the opposition.
Syed Shibli Faraz said the government is also working on provision of health cards to journalists.
