Pakistan asks UNSC to hold Israel accountable for war crimes.

Permanent Representative of Pakistan at UN, Munir Akram called on the UN Security Council to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes.

In a statement submitted to the 15-member Council, Pakistan also called for hold Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity.

Furthermore, Munir Akram asked Israel for an immediate halt to the use of arbitrary force against Palestinians.

He also urged to promote full implementation of relevant resolutions especially for realization of two-state solution, a viable, independent and contiguous Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

He said Israel’s actions stand unacceptable and in contravention of the norms of International law and violations of UN resolutions.

Moreover, he underlined the Palestinian cause as a legitimate struggle for self-determination and against foreign occupation

Munir Akram said the Security Council has failed to demand Israel to halt use of its force against defenceless and beleaguered Palestinians.

He further said Israel must be asked to stop all unilateral and illegal steps including settlements and attempts to change the status of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Balochistan province of Pakistan is marking Solidarity Day with Palestinians today (Monday).

Pakistan and Muslim countries condemn Israel and demand halt to hostilities

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan condemned Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. 

He was talking to former Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Mahathir Mohammad telephonically today [Sunday].

The PM also strongly condemned the attacks on innocent worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and air strikes on Gaza.

They condemned the Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity with the innocent, defenceless Palestinians.

Meanwhile, OIC FMs meeting condemned Israel and demand halt attacks on Palestinians immediately.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi represented Pakistan in the meeting.
