Pakistan welcomes nomination of Antonio Guterres for second term as UN Secretary-General.
The United Nations Security Council has nominated Antonio Guterres to serve a second five-year term.

Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Munir Akram shared his views.
While talking to APP, he hailed it as a well-deserved endorsement for the UN’s top job.
Furthermore, he said that the General Assembly will surely approve it unanimously.
The recommendation, made in a resolution adopted by acclamation in a private meeting.
Now it goes to the 193-member General Assembly for formal approval.
While keeping in view his performance, Munir Akram believes his success in the voting.
