Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed these views, while talking to Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov in Tashkent on Thursday.

He further said Pakistan and Uzbekistan have great potential to expand the bilateral cooperation.
The FM said Pakistan has deep brotherly relations with Uzbekistan based on historical, religious and cultural bases.
He further said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ongoing visit to Uzbekistan and his participation in the International Conference on Central and South Asia will further strengthen the bilateral relationship.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the visit will contribute to building bilateral economic partnership and enhancing trade and economic linkages in the region.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has kicked off Uzbekistan official visit. He has landed in Tashkent.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi, National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf and Atif Khan accompanied him.
Preferential Trade Agreement
Talks between the leadership of the two countries will cover the entire gamut of bilateral relations.
However, they will lay emphasis on on trade, economic cooperation and connectivity.
On the other hand, PM’s adviser on commerce Razzak Dawood addressed a business forum in Tashkent on Thursday.
He said that Pakistan and Uzbekistan will sign a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) to bolster their trade and economic relations.
