Motorway Police clarifies rumors about Suzuki Alto ban

14 March, 2025 15:33

The National Highways and Motorways Police have dismissed reports suggesting a ban on Suzuki Alto on motorways due to safety concerns. An official spokesperson confirmed to local media that no such decision has been taken, calling the claims baseless.

Additionally, Pak Suzuki has also denied rumors about discontinuing the Suzuki Alto in Pakistan. These speculations emerged after an accident involving an Alto, which raised concerns about the vehicle’s safety features and body strength.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki recently announced the discontinuation of its top variant, Wagon R, sparking confusion among buyers. Various online reports suggested that the model might be permanently discontinued.

However, the company clarified that it has only suspended new bookings for Wagon R starting March 11, 2025, and the vehicle’s production will continue after a brief pause.

Suzuki has not announced any immediate plans for a new Wagon R model, but a refreshed version may arrive within the next two to three years.
