Honda City, Civic Prices Set to Rise in Pakistan After New Budget Taxes

28 June, 2025 11:09

Car prices in Pakistan are expected to climb starting in July 2025, following the government’s announcement of new taxes in the 2025-26 budget. Honda vehicles, including City and Civic models, will see notable price hikes due to the introduction of a new Climate Support Levy.

This levy will be applied to the original price of vehicles: 1% for engines up to 1300cc, 2% for engines between 1301cc and 1800cc, and 3% for those above 1800cc. The tax aims to reduce pollution and promote the use of environmentally friendly vehicles.

As per reports, Honda City 1.2L M/T, currently priced at Rs. 4,649,000, will rise to Rs. 4,695,490, while the 1.2L CVT model will cost Rs. 4,735,890. The 1.5L CVT will now be priced at Rs. 5,547,780 after a hike of Rs. 108,780.

In the Aspire line, City 1.5L Aspire M/T will cost Rs. 5,761,980 and Aspire CVT will rise to Rs. 5,965,980, with a tax increase of over Rs. 116,000.

Civic models will also see sharp increases. Civic Oriel will go up to Rs. 8,832,180, and Civic RS, previously Rs. 9,899,000, will cost Rs. 10,096,980 after a hike of nearly Rs. 198,000.

Other hybrids like Toyota Corolla Cross and Kia Sportage Hybrid are also expected to become more expensive. The final impact on prices will vary by engine size and vehicle model.
