Honda City, Honda Civic prices in Pakistan after new taxes
Car buyers in Pakistan may soon have to pay more, as the federal budget for 2025–26 includes new taxes on vehicles. Popular models like the Honda City and Civic are expected to become more expensive due to a new Climate Support Levy introduced by the government.
The government says this tax aims to promote eco-friendly vehicles and increase revenue, but it will now be added to the original price of cars, meaning extra costs for buyers.
Climate Support Levy Breakdown:
-
1% tax on cars with engines up to 1300cc
-
2% tax on cars with engines between 1301cc–1800cc
-
3% tax on cars with engines above 1800cc
Because of this, many car prices will go up by thousands of rupees, and larger cars may see increases in lakhs.
New Honda City Prices (Estimated):
-
City 1.2L M/T – Rs. 4,695,490 (Tax: Rs. 46,490)
-
City 1.5L Aspire CVT – Rs. 5,965,980 (Tax: Rs. 116,980)
New Honda Civic Prices (Estimated):
-
Civic Oriel – Rs. 8,832,180 (Tax: Rs. 173,180)
-
Civic RS – Rs. 10,096,980 (Tax: Rs. 197,980)
These new prices don’t just affect Honda. Toyota Corolla Cross, Kia Sportage Hybrid, and many local hybrid models are also expected to get more expensive.
Car experts say buyers should plan accordingly, as prices across the market are likely to rise soon due to this new tax.
