Motorcycle prices increased in Pakistan after new taxes
Motorcycle prices in Pakistan have gone up again after the government introduced new tax reforms and the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy in the federal budget for 2025–26.
As per reports, Yamaha and Unique have officially announced higher prices for their bikes, and the new rates are now in effect.
Yamaha has raised prices for all its models due to the increased NEV levy and sales tax. The YB 125Z (Red/Black) now costs Rs 429,000, which includes Rs 65,441 in sales tax and Rs 4,057 in NEV levy. The YB 125Z DX (Red/Black/Grey) is priced at Rs 459,500, and the popular YBR125 (Red/Grey/Black) is now Rs 471,500. The rugged YBR125G (Black) costs Rs 490,500, while the matte finish version is now Yamaha’s most expensive bike at Rs 493,500.
Following Yamaha’s lead, Unique also raised prices starting July 18, 2025. All models in the UD 70cc series have increased by Rs 3,000. The new prices are:
-
UD 70cc Base Model: Rs 121,500
-
UD 70cc Extreme Plus: Rs 125,000
-
UD 70cc Special Edition: Rs 128,500
-
Extreme Plus (Alloy Rims): Rs 135,000
-
UD 70cc Self-Start Variant: Rs 147,000 (most expensive)
This latest hike is putting more pressure on consumers, as rising petrol prices, inflation, and new taxes are already making life harder for many people.
