Following the announcement of Budget 2025, motorbike prices in Pakistan have witnessed a sharp increase due to the introduction of a Carbon Levy on imported engines and the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy. These new taxes have made two-wheelers significantly more expensive, as manufacturers shifted the additional cost burden onto consumers.
Honda Bike Prices Reach New Highs
Atlas Honda raised prices across its entire lineup. Popular models now cost:
- Honda CD 70 – Rs159,900
- CD 70 Dream – Rs170,900
- Honda Pridor – Rs211,900
- CG 125 – Rs238,900
- CG 125 Self-Start – Rs286,900
- CG 125s Gold – Rs296,900
- CB 125F – Rs396,900
- CB 150F – Rs499,900
CB 150F Special Edition – Rs503,900
Yamaha Prices Also Climb
Yamaha followed suit, raising prices of its models:
- YB125Z – Rs429,000
- YB125Z DX – Rs459,500
- YBR125 – Rs471,500
- YBR125G (Black) – Rs490,500
YBR125G (Matt Edition) – Rs493,500
Suzuki’s Premium Models Cost Over Rs1.2 Million
Pak Suzuki hiked prices on all models:
- GD110S – Rs362,600
- GS150 – Rs392,900
- GSX125 – Rs504,900
- GR150 – Rs552,900
INAZUMA GW250JP – Rs1,252,400
Affordability & Sales Trends
Despite the price surge, sales rose by 54% year-on-year due to accessible installment plans and the fuel efficiency of bikes.
- Honda: 115,286 units sold in June 2025 (up 43.7%)
- Suzuki: 2,665 units (up 69.7%)
- Yamaha: 554 units (up 63.9%)
Motorcycles remain a vital and affordable means of transport, especially for low and middle-income Pakistanis.
