Honda CD 70 & CG 125 prices rise after new taxes – August 2025
Bike buyers across Pakistan are facing more financial pressure as prices of popular Honda motorcycles have gone up due to new government taxes. The cheapest Honda CD 70 now costs around Rs160,000, making it harder for people to afford basic transport.
Why Prices Are Increasing
The government has added new taxes on petrol bikes, including:
18% Sales Tax
1% Non-Essential Vehicles (N.E.V) Levy
These taxes apply to all Honda models and are making the bikes more expensive.
Honda Bike Prices with Taxes in 2025
Model | Sales Tax (18%) | N.E.V Levy (1%) | Total Taxes | Final Price |
---|---|---|---|---|
CD70 | Rs24,163 | Rs1,500 | Rs25,663 | Rs159,900 |
CG125 | Rs36,040 | Rs2,244 | Rs38,284 | Rs238,500 |
CB125F | Rs59,878 | Rs3,717 | Rs63,595 | Rs396,900 |
People who depend on bikes—like students, delivery riders, and low-income workers—are upset. Many say bikes are their only affordable way to travel, and these price hikes are pushing them out of reach.
Market Impact
Dealers worry that high prices may reduce sales, hurt small businesses, and affect supply chains. There are increasing calls for the government to remove the 1% N.E.V levy, especially for smaller bikes that are essential for daily transport.
