Honda car sales dip slightly in Pakistan
Honda cars have seen a slight drop in sales in Pakistan during the first two months of the fiscal year 2025-26. According to new data shared by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), the company sold 1,842 units between July and August, compared to 1,863 units sold in the same period last year. This shows a decline of just 1.12%.
However, Honda’s production increased sharply. The company produced 2,137 cars in the first two months, up from 1,817 units last year — a growth of 17.61%.
Meanwhile, the overall car market in Pakistan showed strong growth. Total car sales rose by 40.06%, reaching 17,192 units compared to 12,274 last year. Car production more than doubled, increasing by 100.93%, from 11,171 units to 22,446 units.
Other major carmakers also showed impressive numbers. The production of Toyota Corolla and Yaris climbed by 56.66% to 5,098 units, while Suzuki Swift production rose by nearly 80%, reaching 2,239 units. Hyundai Elantra’s production also increased from 103 units to 286 units.
In summary, while Honda’s sales dipped slightly, the overall automobile industry in Pakistan is showing strong signs of recovery with big jumps in production and sales of other brands.
