Who is Rossana Fajardo? New member of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure

Rossana Fajardo, who recently served as country managing partner at SGV & Co., has been appointed as a member of the three-man Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).

According to Palace press officer Claire Castro, Fajardo is a certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in auditing, internal controls, and risk management, “especially in identifying weaknesses in financial systems and operational processes.”

“She has worked across both public and private sectors to help organizations deflect fraud, strengthen governance, and build more accountable institutions,” Castro said in a Saturday press briefing.

“Her technical insight and financial acumen are critical in following the trail of public funds and determining where leakages and irregularities may have occurred,” she added.

Before her new role, Fajardo became SGV & Co.’s country managing partner in July. She also held positions as SGV Consulting Leader and EY Asean Business Consulting Leader.

She has an impressive academic background. Reports say she completed the Ernst & Young Kellogg Account Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, in 2012, and the London Business School Account Leader Program in 2018.

Earlier, in 2001, she finished the eMBA Program at the Asian Institute of Management as an SGV scholar.

Fajardo earned her accounting degree from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, graduating cum laude.
