Olaf Stieber, a devoted husband, father, and tech professional, passed away suddenly at the age of 41. Just a few days later, his 14-year-old niece, influencer Zuza Beine, also lost her life after battling acute myeloid leukaemia.

Olaf Stieber’s personal life

Olaf was remembered as a family man who dedicated his life to his wife Lauren Stieber and their two young children, aged three and six. His sister, Dr. Dagmara Beine, and Zuza’s mother described him as an “extraordinary father and husband.”

In an emotional tribute, Zuza’s mother wrote: “To see Olaf with his children was to see him at his best – living with such love and purpose.”

Olaf and Lauren were building a stable and loving home together in Wisconsin. His sudden passing has left Lauren to face the difficult task of raising their children on her own.

Olaf’s career reflected both his skill and determination. He studied information decision science at the University of Illinois Chicago before starting his career as a data analyst at Runzheimer. Later, he worked at Northwestern Mutual as a test engineer.

Double tragedy for the family

Only days after Olaf’s death, the family was struck again when his niece, Zuza Beine, died after an 18-month battle with acute myeloid leukaemia. Zuza was a popular social media influencer with over one million followers on Instagram. She was known for her get-ready-with-me videos, dancing clips, and honest posts about her fight with cancer.

While much of the public attention has been on Zuza’s passing, Olaf’s death has also left a painful void. Together, these tragedies have shaken the Wisconsin community, who continue to rally around the grieving families.
