Early Life and Family

Garcia was born in 1987, over 21 years after Presley gave birth to her first child, Lisa Marie. Shortly after his birth, Presley received a call from one of Garibaldi’s former partners, warning her about him. Presley dismissed the call, saying, “Don’t call here again,” as she did not know how to handle the information.

Although Presley and Garibaldi never married, they remained a couple until 2006.

Music Career

Following in the footsteps of his sister and father, Garcia pursued music. He formed the band Them Guns in 2012 after playing in groups as a teenager. However, he later realized that success in the industry required more effort than expected.

“I thought, ‘OK, I’m going into the family business. I’ll write a song, and then we’ll start touring it.’ I didn’t realize it takes way more than that,” Garcia told PEOPLE.

Discovering His Father’s Background

In 2017, Garcia learned the truth about his father’s origins. While he grew up believing Garibaldi was from a wealthy Italian family, he was contacted by a teenager from Brazil who claimed to be his cousin. Garcia then discovered that his father had emigrated from Brazil, not Italy, and had changed his last name from Garcia to Garibaldi to avoid discrimination in Hollywood.

When Garcia confronted him, Garibaldi replied, “Lose my number,” marking the last time the two spoke. Despite losing his relationship with his father, Garcia built connections with his extended family in Brazil. “I lost one family member, but I gained 20-plus. I have zero regrets,” he said.

Marriage

On February 15, 2022, Garcia married his longtime girlfriend, Elisa Achilli, in Switzerland. “I never thought I would find a counterpart that is so understanding and supportive,” Garcia said. “She makes everything we do effortless, and I can’t imagine life without her.”

Achilli described Garcia as “the most genuine, sweet and sensitive man” she had ever known, expressing happiness about ending their four years of long-distance with marriage. Presley, who attended the ceremony, said the family had been waiting patiently for the day.

Struggles with Addiction

Garcia has openly shared his history of substance abuse, which began in high school with heroin use and later escalated to fentanyl addiction. “I was under the impression I was doing heroin, but then it’d turn out to be fentanyl. That was a whole different beast. I became so addicted that I’d need it every 45 minutes,” he told PEOPLE in February 2023.

With Achilli’s support, Garcia got sober in 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he chose to quit so he could visit her in Switzerland without depending on drugs. “It feels like a different lifetime, almost. The whole world got a lot better [afterward],” he said.

In a September 2025 interview, Presley recalled helping her son through heroin and fentanyl withdrawal. She confirmed, “He’s been sober ever since. I’m really happy for him. He’s in a good place. We made it.”

Personal Interests

Outside of music, Garcia has long been passionate about reptiles. In 2016, he showcased his collection of snakes and lizards on Vimeo, saying, “It’s a big passion of mine that I’ve had since I was a little kid. Music and reptiles have always been side by side.”

Remembering Lisa Marie Presley

Garcia attended his half-sister Lisa Marie’s funeral at Graceland in January 2023 alongside his mother and Lisa Marie’s children. Afterward, he shared a childhood photo of the two on Instagram, writing in a now-deleted post:

“Big sister… i hope you are now at peace and happy with your Dad and your son by your side. I know the past couple years weren’t easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us. regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home. I still can’t believe this, I’m lost for words. Love you sis. Beijos.”
