Bushra Bibi allowed meeting with Imran on Eid

The Islamabad High Court has ordered to arrange Bushra Bibi’s meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan on the occasion of Eid and once a week as well.

Islamabad High Court Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the pleas of Bushra Bibi’s transfer from Banigala Sub Jail to Adiala Jail and a meeting with PTI founder.

Meanwhile, State Council Abdul Rehman and Director Law of Islamabad administration appeared in the court. The State Council said that on the order of the court, director law had visited Banigala Sab Jail and submitted a report. The IHC directed the State Council to provide a copy of the report to the petitioner, saying that the visiting officer of Banigala Sub Jail was satisfied with the facilities.

The court expressed its anger over the report of Adiala Jail and Chief Commissioner on not transferring Bushra Bibi to Adiala Jail and disallowing her meeting with PTI founder. The IHC said that this is all politics happening in court. Justice Mian Gul Hassan said that 141 women were shifted to the jail after the sentence on January 31. You used to say that the jail is ‘overcrowded’.

On the other hand, 141 women shifted, when new women entered the jail, then the justification for not transferring was lost. The judge remarked: “You could not satisfy the court, you should call your Chief Commissioner and Advocate General.”
