Gold prices see massive decline in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop on Thursday, reflecting the decline in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola (11.66 grams) decreased by Rs5,500, settling at Rs266,400.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams fell by Rs4,716, bringing it to Rs228,395, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The decline in gold prices comes after a rise on Wednesday, when the price per tola had increased by Rs1,400 to reach Rs271,900.
The global price of gold also experienced a drop on Thursday. As per APGJSA, the international rate of gold stood at $2,552 per ounce, with a premium of $20, marking a decrease of $55 from the previous day.
Despite the fall in gold prices, silver rates remained stable, with silver trading at Rs3,250 per tola.
Gold prices in Pakistan had surged to an all-time high of Rs287,900 per tola just last month, driven by international market trends and domestic economic factors.
