LPG prices jump up to Rs 100 per Kg in Pakistan - check new rates
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices in Pakistan have jumped sharply, with retail rates increasing by up to Rs. 100 per kilogram due to supply concerns linked to the ongoing Iran conflict.
According to the LPG Marketing Association, retail prices have risen from around Rs. 250 per kilogram to between Rs. 320 and Rs. 350 per kilogram.
Association leader Ali Haider explained that LPG supply has dropped since tensions escalated in Iran, causing prices to rise in the domestic market.
The association has urged the government to import LPG from alternative suppliers, such as Russia or Oman, to stabilize supply and control prices.
