Milk, yogurt prices increase – Check fresh rates

The Rawalpindi Fresh Milk Association has announced an increase in the prices of fresh milk and yogurt in Rawalpindi.

In a video statement shared on social media, the association said milk at dairy farms will now be sold at Rs216 per kilogram, while shop price has been fixed at Rs250 per kilogram.

Similarly, the price of yogurt has also been increased to Rs280 per kilogram.

Earlier, milk was being sold in Rawalpindi between Rs210 and Rs220 per kilogram, while yogurt prices were between Rs230 and Rs240 per kilogram.

Association officials said the rise in petroleum product prices has increased transportation and business costs for dairy farm owners and shopkeepers.

They added that because of higher expenses, increasing milk and yogurt prices had become necessary.
