Gold prices drop in Pakistan – May 8, 2026: Check new rates

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decline on Friday as the trend in international markets also moved downward.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,700 and reached Rs494,062. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs2,315 to Rs423,578, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Just a day earlier, on Thursday, gold had increased sharply by Rs7,800 per tola, reaching Rs496,762, showing a volatile trend in prices.

In the global market, gold also went down by $27 per ounce and settled at $4,717, including a $20 premium.

Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction and increased by Rs80 per tola, reaching Rs8,525.
