OGRA raises Kerosene oil price across country

06 June, 2026 13:34

The price of kerosene oil has increased in Pakistan after the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) raised the rate by Rs8.70 per litre.

According to an official notification, the new price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs280.70 per litre, compared to the previous rate of Rs272 per litre. The revised price is now being applied across the country.

This increase comes shortly after recent changes in petroleum prices announced by the government. Petrol prices were reduced by Rs4 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs377.78 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel remains unchanged at Rs380.78 per litre.

Earlier, on May 29, 2026, the prime minister had announced a major reduction of Rs22 per litre in petrol and diesel prices.

In recent months, petroleum prices in Pakistan had reached high levels due to regional and global market conditions. This led the government to introduce subsidies for transport sectors, including public transport, goods transport, motorcycles, and rickshaws, to ease the burden on people.
