Kerosene oil price increases in Pakistan – check new rate

13 June, 2026 13:35

ISLAMABAD: Fuel prices in Pakistan have seen mixed changes as kerosene oil became more expensive, while petrol and diesel prices were reduced.

According to a notification from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of kerosene oil has increased by Rs1.49 per litre. With this change, the new price has risen from Rs280.70 to Rs282.19 per litre. The revised rate came into effect immediately.

This increase comes just a week after another hike of Rs8.70 per litre, showing continuous adjustments in fuel prices under the government’s regular review system.

On the other hand, the federal government has reduced petrol and diesel prices to provide relief to consumers. Petrol price has been cut by Rs4 per litre, bringing it down from Rs377.78 to Rs373.78. High-speed diesel has also been reduced by Rs2 per litre, now costing Rs378.56 instead of Rs380.56.

The Petroleum Division confirmed that the new prices will apply from 12 AM on 13 June 2026 across the country. Officials said this is the second straight reduction in fuel prices in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, petrol pump owners have urged the government to shift from frequent price changes to a monthly review system. They say regular price updates create uncertainty, affect business planning, and confuse consumers.

They believe a monthly system would bring more stability for both fuel retailers and customers.
