DG ISPR, 2 other officers promoted to rank of Lt. Gen

Three Major Generals in Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Generals.

DG ISPR Major General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Major General Umar Mehmood Bukhari and Major General Inayat Hussain have been promoted to the rank of Lt Gen.

Army Chief General Asim Munir also appointed the three promoted three-star generals. Lt Gen Umar Bukhari will be appointed as Commander 11 Corps (Peshawar), Lt Gen Inayat as Chief of Logistics Services (GHQ) and Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif will continue to perform his duties as DG ISPR for the time being.

In the 84 Long Course, Umar Mehmood Bukhari won the honorary sword and Inayat Hussain from Hunza won the presidential gold medal. Both the three-star promoted officers were serving as Vice Chief of General Staff (GHQ) at GHQ.

Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, who is DG ISPR, has been promoted to the rank of Lt. General and will continue to be posted in the same important position.

However, ISPR has not issued a statement in this regard.
