BISE releases new dates for delayed inter, matric exams – Check roll number slips

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has released a new schedule for exams that were postponed earlier due to rising tensions between Pakistan and India.

What Was Postponed?

Due to the war-like situation, two intermediate papers and several matric practical exams were delayed.

• The intermediate papers of Islamic Studies and Accounting, which were postponed on May 7, will now take place on June 16.

• The paper of Tarjmatul Quran, delayed on May 9, will now be held on May 31.

Matric Practical Exam Rescheduled

• Practical exams postponed on May 7 (like Chemistry and Food & Nutrition – Tailoring) will now be held on May 27.

• Practical exams postponed on May 9 will now be held on May 29.

New Roll Number Slips

BISE has also issued new roll number slips:

• Regular students can collect them from their schools.

• Private students can download them from the BISE Rawalpindi website.

Why the Change?

The exams were rescheduled after Pakistan and India agreed to a ceasefire, helped by the United States after a period of high tension.

BISE Lahore New Exam Dates

• Tarjmatul Quran (postponed May 9) → May 31

• Islamic Studies & Principles of Accounting (postponed May 7) → June 16

• Practical Exams of Biology, Computer Science & Food & Nutrition (postponed May 7) → May 17

• Practical Exams of Biology, Computer Science & Art & Model Drawing (postponed May 9) → May 24
