Online Certificate Verification for Matric and Inter Students

KPK 12th class results 2025 date announced
In a step toward digitalizing Pakistan’s education system, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has officially started online verification of certificates for Class 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th students in Sindh.
According to a notification released by the IBCC, the traditional method of submitting certificates in sealed envelopes for verification has been discontinued. From now on, the entire process will be managed through a digital verification system.
The IBCC has directed all education boards in Sindh to connect their data systems with the IBCC’s digital platform. As of now, three boards are already online:
Karachi Matric Board
Sukkur Education Board
Ziauddin Board
Other boards across Sindh have been urged to digitize their educational records promptly to join the new system. This shift aims to make the verification process faster, more transparent, and easily accessible for students, employers, and institutions.
New Grading System from 2025
In another key reform, the IBCC also announced updates to the grading system for matriculation and intermediate levels across Pakistan. Starting with the 2025 examinations, the passing marks have been raised from 33% to 40%.
To assist borderline students, the grace marks limit has also been increased from three to five marks, but only in two subjects. If a student fails in more than two subjects, no grace marks will be granted in the third subject.
These changes are designed to standardize academic evaluation across the country while encouraging better performance and reducing the risk of manipulation through manual processes.
