Punjab school announces 2025 summer vacation schedule

The Punjab Education Department has officially announced the summer vacation schedule for 2025, bringing relief to students as another heatwave hits the region.

Summer holidays give students a much-needed break from school. Many spend this time visiting family, enjoying hobbies, or attending fun events like food festivals and cultural fairs, especially in cities like Lahore and Karachi.

Some families also use the holidays for spiritual activities or learning new things. To beat the heat, many people head to cooler places in northern Pakistan, such as Murree, Swat, and Hunza.

According to the Punjab government, summer vacations will start on Sunday, June 1, 2025, and will last until August 9, 2025.

This decision was made due to rising temperatures and concerns about climate change. Officials also mentioned that if the heat gets worse in the coming days, they might start the holidays a week earlier to protect the health of students, teachers, and school staff.
