Matric, Inter Students Can Now Edit Name, DOB Without Visiting Board
The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has taken a major step by allowing students to correct their personal information online. Previously, students had to stand in long queues or rely on middlemen to fix details such as name, father’s name, or date of birth.
Now, students can make these corrections from the comfort of their homes. This move marks a significant push toward digital transformation in education across Punjab.
Turning a New Page in Punjab’s Educational History
Chairman Adnan Khan described the initiative as “turning a new page in Punjab’s educational history.” He emphasized that transparency, accessibility, and efficiency are now becoming a reality, not just goals. With digital services like NOC issuance and verification, the need for physical paperwork is being eliminated.
This system is expected to save millions of rupees annually in travel costs, processing fees, and time for both students and parents. Moreover, it aims to reduce the role of unauthorized agents who used to benefit from the manual process.
Education Experts Hail It as a “Digital Revolution”
Experts in the education sector are calling this move a “digital revolution in Punjab’s academic landscape.” They are urging other education boards in the province to adopt similar systems for the benefit of all students.
