Punjab govt announced new school timings in Lahore from August

Schools in Punjab and Sindh will reopen soon after the summer holidays, and new timings have been announced for both provinces.

School Timings in Lahore (Punjab)

In Lahore, schools will follow new timings from August 18, after the summer break ends. These timings will stay in place from April to October 2025.

Both public and private schools must follow this schedule, or they could face legal action from the Punjab government.

Single Shift Schools:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm

• Friday: 7:30 am to 11:30 am

Double Shift Schools:

Morning Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm

• Friday: 7:30 am to 11:30 am

Evening Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

• Friday: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

School Timings in Sindh

In Sindh, schools will reopen from August 1 (Friday), as summer vacations end on July 31. The Sindh government has issued new timings for primary, secondary, and college-level schools, both public and private.

Single Shift Primary Schools:

• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8:00 am to 1:30 pm

• Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

Double Shift Primary Schools:

First Shift:

• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

• Friday: 7:30 am to 12:00 noon

Second Shift:

• Monday to Saturday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Single Shift Secondary/Higher Secondary Schools:

• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8:00 am to 1:30 pm

• Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

Double Shift Secondary Schools:

First Shift:

• Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

• Friday: 7:30 am to 10:30 am

Second Shift:

• Monday to Saturday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
