Sindh schools and colleges remain closed from Sept 23 to 27
All public schools, colleges, and government offices across Sindh, from Karachi to Kashmore, will remain closed from September 23 to 27.
The Sindh Employees Alliance has announced the closure in protest against what they call the “undemocratic behavior” of the Sindh government and its failure to meet long-standing demands.
The alliance, which includes teachers, administrative staff, and other government employees, announced during a workers’ convention. Leaders said they will continue their protest until their basic rights are restored.
They also revealed plans for a sit-in outside Bilawal House on October 6, warning that the protest could escalate if the government does not respond.
Sources suggest that the five-day closure could be extended indefinitely if negotiations fail. This has raised concerns about a prolonged disruption of academic activities.
The situation is expected to cause serious inconvenience for thousands of students and their families, who are already facing uncertainty about their academic calendar and exams.
