Board Confirms Dates for Grade 5 and 8 Annual Exams
Lahore, February 27, 2026: The Punjab education boards have officially issued the complete date sheet for Class 9 annual examinations 2026. The announcement has ended uncertainty among students who were waiting for the final schedule.
The exams will start on April 17, 2026, and will continue until May 8, 2026. A single and unified schedule will be followed across the province. All districts will conduct exams on the same dates.
Exams to Be Held in Two Shifts
According to the official notification, papers will be held in morning and evening shifts.
Morning papers will begin at 9:00 AM.
Evening papers will start at 2:00 PM.
On Fridays, the evening session will begin at 2:30 PM to accommodate prayer timings.
Board officials said the schedule has been prepared carefully to manage large numbers of candidates. The two-shift system will help reduce overcrowding at examination centres.
Unified Schedule Across Punjab
The date sheet applies to all major boards, including the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Multan, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, and other Punjab boards.
Officials said students should download their roll number slips on time. They must reach their examination centres at least 30 minutes before the paper starts. Mobile phones and electronic devices will not be allowed inside centres.
Students Advised to Prepare Well
Education authorities have advised students to follow the timetable strictly. They said proper planning and time management will help students perform better.
The announcement has given students clear guidance for their preparation before the exams begin in mid-April.
